Softball Skills & Drills Summer Day Camp
For girls completing/completed grades 4-8 in June 2020
Coached by Amery Varsity softball coach Tara Rose and staff that will work on all aspects of softball: throwing, defense (infield and outfield), hitting, bunting, base running, and pitching! We will work on offense, defense, and pitching each day through teaching mechanics and drills with an emphasis on competitive games and situations. Provided there are enough campers, we will have a scrimmage or modified scrimmage on Friday. Come to learn, get better, have some fun, and prepare and improve for your current season!
Date: July 13-17
Everyone: 10 am - noon
Pitchers: 10 am - 12:30 pm
Who: Girls completing/completed grades 4-8 in June 2020
Where: Jorgenson Fields in Amery by the high school. If it is raining we will be in the Amery High School gym - use the doors by the tennis courts (Southwest corner of the school). Don't forget indoor tennis shoes if it is raining.
Cost: $55 per camper includes camp fee and t-shirt if registered by June 26
Bring softball shoes (cleats if you have them for outdoors, and tennis shoes if you don't or if we are in the gym that day), your ball glove, a water bottle, wear softball pants or bring them to put on if needed, and bring a bat & helmet if you have them.
Coach Tara Rose is originally from Baldwin, WI where she pitched for Baldwin-Woodville High School then pitched and played for UW-Stout. Tara has helped coach at numerous UW-Stout camps and clinics as well as summer ball teams, was an Assistant Varsity Coach at Hudson High school, and has been the Head Varsity Coach for the last five years at Amery High School. In spring of 2018 the AHS team made it to the Sectional Championship game. Tara and staff are happy to help softball athletes in the area improve all aspects of their game!
