PD Culturally Responsive Classrooms K-5 (Independent Study)

Description:
In this course by Tara Rose, you will learn:
  • What being culturally responsive looks like in a classroom and a lesson
  • Why being culturally responsive is important
  • The difference between cultural appreciation vs. cultural appropriation
  • General and subject-specific ideas to implement into your classroom
After the course, you will be asked to complete a Google form including creating one or two lessons or activities that are culturally responsive for your own classroom.

Here's how to earn this PDH:
1. Watch the video (about 27 min)
2. Complete this Microsoft Form
3. Course coordinator Katie Johnson will notify the Distict Office that you have completed the PDH so you will receive your credit.
