Boating Safety - DNR

Boating Safety: DNR

The purpose of the course is to reduce the potential for boat accidents, injuries, fatalities; to reduce the potential for conflict between different types of boating activities and other resource users; and to promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of the environment and our resources.  WI law requires persons born SINCE January 1st, 1989 to pass Boater's Safety if they operate a boat or personal watercraft. The safety certificate earned in class does not become valid until the child reaches 12 years of age.
A DNR customer ID# is required of all participants during the registration process.  If you do not yet have an ID#, please visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/GoWild/customerNumber.html or call 1-888-936-7463 before registering. 
Please preregister and pay in advance to Community Education

WHO: Age 11—adult      
CLASSROOM DATES: May 20, 21, 23 (must attend all 3 classes)
TIME: 5:30-8:30 pm
LOCATION: Middle School
INSTRUCTOR: Ryan Jordan, Recreational Patrol Deputy, Polk County Sheriff's Office
FEE: $10, pre-register with Amery Community Ed. No refunds for class cancellation.
