Babysitter Training
St. Croix Valley Chapter
Co-sponsored by the American Red Cross,
The purpose of this course is to provide youth, ages 10-15 who are planning to babysit, with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. Class includes first aid and CPR training.
The course covers 6 primary areas:
· You’re the Boss: A Guide to Leadership
· The Business of Babysitting
· Safe and Sound on the Job
· Understanding Children from 0-10
· From Feeding to Bedtime: Caring for Children
· It’s an Emergency . . . Now What?
Students should bring a life-sized baby doll, paper and pencil, water bottle, and pack a lunch.
