Adult Intro to Running - 5K Training (ages 18 )
Open to all abilities! This class is perfect for anyone who wants to start running, is coming back to running, or would like a group to run with. Throughout these 10 weeks, you will learn the basics of training for and running a 5k. During the last class, we'll run a 5k together!
The course includes:
- 9 in-person classes/group runs. Classes will include a dynamic warm-up, walk/run for 30min (or more), cool-down, and "class time" held outdoors afterward
- Education, advice, and feedback from an experienced runner and certified running coach
- An 10-week running schedule to help keep you on track and prepare you for our ultimate goal – running a 5k at the end of the course!
Equipment Needed: Proper running shoes and clothing, water bottle, GPS running watch or app on your phone (not necessary, but nice to have if you enjoy tracking your miles)
We will meet rain or shine - dress for the weather!
If a class has to be canceled for any reason, we will make every attempt to schedule a makeup class.
DATES: Sundays, March 30-June 1 (no class April 27, and the group will decide what to do about Easter Sunday)
